These terms govern your use of the JDLILU website and any commission you place with us through WhatsApp, email or phone inquiry.
By accessing the JDLILU website (the "Site") or by initiating a consultation with us by WhatsApp, email or phone, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or contact us.
The Site is informational. It does not host a shop, cart, checkout, registration, login or any form-based data capture. All commercial discussions take place separately and entirely at your initiative by WhatsApp, email or phone.
You must be at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to commission a project from us. By initiating a consultation you confirm that you meet this requirement.
All content on the Site - including text, photographs, illustrations, sketches, the "JDLILU" name, the JDLILU mark, project names and edition names - is owned by JDLILU or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and share excerpts for personal, non-commercial reference. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, train machine-learning systems on, or commercially exploit Site content without our prior written permission.
Designs produced for a specific commission may, by mutual agreement, become the exclusive property of the commissioning client. In the absence of such agreement, JDLILU retains the right to photograph, archive and feature finished commissions in its portfolio in a manner that does not disclose confidential client information.
A commission is a bespoke service. We work to specifications agreed in writing by WhatsApp or email. Because every keyboard is composed from scratch, the following terms apply to all commissions unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
Quotations are valid for the period stated in the written quote. A commission is confirmed only when you have approved the written specification and any required project-start terms have been satisfied.
Materials such as resin, walnut, brass and dyed PBT are subject to natural variation. The finished item may differ slightly in colour, grain or texture from photographs of previous builds. Such variation is a feature of bespoke production, not a defect.
Lead times quoted during consultation are good-faith estimates based on current workshop load and material availability. We will keep you informed of any material change to the projected delivery window.
Changes requested after a commission is confirmed are accommodated where physically possible and may affect lead time and price. Any change must be agreed in writing by WhatsApp or email.
Because each commission is unique to you, cancellation terms will be stated in the written project confirmation. Requests made after materials are sourced or assembly has begun may affect refundability, cost or schedule.
On arrival you will be invited to inspect the keyboard. Reported workmanship or component issues will be reviewed against the agreed specification and handled under the written project terms. Bespoke commissions are not eligible for general "change-of-mind" returns unless required by applicable law or agreed in writing.
Prices for bespoke work are quoted privately, per project, by WhatsApp or email. Any payment terms are agreed outside this Site at the point of confirmation. The Site itself contains no prices, cart, checkout or payment processing.
You agree not to: (a) attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site or any underlying systems; (b) probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Site; (c) interfere with the Site's operation; (d) scrape Site content for commercial use or for the training of machine-learning systems; or (e) use the Site for any unlawful purpose.
The Site may load assets from third parties (for example, web fonts) and link to WhatsApp. We do not control and are not responsible for the policies or behaviour of those third parties.
The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Photographs are illustrative; actual finished keyboards will vary as described above.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, JDLILU shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the Site. Our aggregate liability for any commission shall not exceed the amount actually paid by you for that commission.
You agree to indemnify and hold JDLILU harmless from any claim arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of nature, public health events, supply-chain disruption, labour disputes, or restrictions on transport.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The competent courts shall have jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, save where mandatory consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site or initiation of a new consultation after a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
